The current console generation has seen the re-release of a number of the most well loved games from recent gaming history.
Not that this will end it, but at least I can call people out and they might feel a little something in their closeminded heads for even a fraction of a second.Capcom announces that 'Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition' will be arriving for PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on June 23, complete with a new Legendary Dark Knight Mode. it's stopping childish bullshit like downvoting of differing opinions on this subreddit that I care about. If what I say is false, point it out.Īnd for the record, it's not the karma I care about. Instead of, I don't know, just being little bitches that downvote any opinion they don't 100% agree with.
I just give DmC the edge over DMC4 because it was less exploitable and didn't repeat levels and bosses like DMC4 did.ĮDIT: How's about those who disagree with me actually offer up a counter opinion and start a discussion. Though, for what it's worth, DMC3 is my favorite DMC game. Perhaps not everyone will discover that exploit, but I discovered it pretty quickly after getting that ability. Once you get the spirit arm/grab-thing it's pretty easy to infinite combo most non-boss enemies. Also, the combat was very exploitable in the original release (haven't played the remaster). As much as all the fans of the original series will hate me and downvote me and treat me like a monster, DMC4 was a pretty big disappointment (though still fun and worth playing), and I think DmC is a much better game on almost every level- and that's coming from a fan of the older series.ĭMC4 was good, but half way through the game you're basically forced to re-play the same levels in reverse order. I wasn't really ever disappointed playing DmC. The art style was wicked, the story was decent, voice acting was good, and most importantly, it was really fun to play. Not that different than the older series. The combat is fluid, fun, flashy and deep- if you want it to be. In real world experience, the only people I know who claimed to not have a shit ton of fun playing it were those dead set on hating it because it was a different take on their beloved.
That being said, if you love the combat and don't mind repeatedly playing the same "arenas" with different characters to get high scores, then sure I guess you could say DMC4 has a lot a replayability.ĭmC on the other hand I loved, and the definitive version brought the combat to the level it should have been in the original release. Playing through the same levels again as a different character just seemed cheap. I enjoyed DMC4 but thought it was pretty disappointing.
